Things that'll keep you in church

It has been awhile, but in all reality not as long as that month long hiatus from blogging. During that time I had to repent and ask forgiveness of all the bloggers for not keeping my new year's resolution. Speaking of new year's resolutions/ prophecies remember this one:
#8: As the magic of robotics progresses, Ben Kropatch will undergo test surgery to have the first robotic arm installed so that he can play the guitar for 1000 hours straight and never get tired.

Well it sort of came true, we prophesy in part and know in part is what corinthians says. For more information on how that prophecy came true, check out: Small Wonder

Amazing isn't it? The likeness is uncanny! That gift was courtesy of John Chu, as homemade robotics continues to improve expect to see an entire worship team made up of drano and plastic coke bottles. Oh and lots of clear tape!

Anyway, that is definitely something that will keep you in church! Aside, from the great people, the awesome cell leaders, the radical pre-service prayer, the insane worship, the best preaching in san diego, the most life-changing altar times; what should keep us in church is God's PRESENCE! It's why we get up in the morning, why we pray and read the word - all to get in HIS PRESENCE. It's the reason we tell others about Jesus, it's the reason we go to church together (inviting and bringing as many people as we can find), it's the reason we exist - to get in His Presence and meet the one who gave us life.

I just want to encourage you to spend more time in His presence, find a way to slip a few minutes in at school or at work and just ask the Holy Spirit to envelope you. As you're driving somewhere remind the Holy Spirit that He's the best and you can't live without Him. Before you go to sleep and the first thing you do when you wake up is thank the Holy Spirit that He wants to be with you and that He is with you. That is the thing that'll keep you in church as well as make you the most successful, fulfilled, joyful person on the planet.

Have a great weekend! Ask the Holy Spirit to hang out with you this weekend. And bring someone to church on Sunday, and this THURSDAY is PARTY NIGHT at GC - games, food, giveaways!

  • You might not know this yet, but after GC, MiniBen went with us to Fridays for Kropatch's BDay party, and with the help of Nicole, in the 20 minutes that we waited for a table, became a very sucessful door greeter. He got lots of looks, lots of laughs, and even made some new friends. A whole table to be exact! I think we should sign him up for GC door greeters. He's a natural!
